After a few weeks of proper graft, we can now say that the majority of our trails are once again OPEN!
⚠ Bit of a trail update ⚠
?♂️You can get around Camphill on the new section – short portage required. Be sure to look around for some of the biggest yellowwood trees in Hermanus (own opinion)
?♂️ Lots of work along the Blue Route – trying to dry some places, lots of cleaning and clearing…
?♂️The Gorge has been attended too and is very rideable.
?♂️ The ruts at the bottom of “The Steps” in front of La Vierge on Bouchard Finlayson have been attended too, the rest of BF still pretty wet in the trail commonly referred to as “die sloot.”
?♂️ We tended to the culvit under the road at Vrede/Plaaskombuis today, and it is rideable again… We’ll be doing more work here soon. We still need to build the bridge at the bottom between Plaaskombuis and Volmoed – you’ll notice a new, deeper stream easy to cross, but the bridge will come.
?♂️ The double black trail which starts at the Gorge, climbs the back at Camphill and then over the neck to Bosman should still be avoided. (Trail highlighted in yellow on the map below).
